Happy Birthday, Glitterbombers!
The Glitterbombers Membership is one year old.
It was a little over a year ago when I was asked over again for a way to regularly get art projects and resources.
And I resisted. Why? I didn’t think that there was a need for kid-tested, kid-approved, cross-curricular art projects.
Doesn’t that seem ridiculous?
Through the Glitterbombers, and the thousands of art teachers, homeschoolers, studio owners, and children that we’ve impacted, I know something for sure.
The world needs more art projects – just like these. It needs dragons and frost giants, aliens, snowy owls, and sea serpents. It needs diverse, working artists alongside Monet.
What it needs, is projects that are as exciting as cake.
What a year!
Over and over again I hear how kids are crying. They’re crying because art time ends too soon. So many thought that art was only drawing the Mona Lisa, or being told to create a self-portrait over and over.
I’ve heard from parents doing art alongside their kids – parents who haven’t picked up a paintbrush since elementary school.
I am honored to hear from our art teacher members and how their administration has given them rave reviews. Parents tell me that their kids are winning awards in art shows, and I am brought to tears. I have so much gratitude for what I do – and to all of you.
Free art lessons for kids!
So this week we are celebrating with free art lessons for kids all week, giveaways, and the opening of our door to new members. It’s an entire celebration. And while I can’t give you cake – I’m hoping I can lighten the load.
Join me every single day at 6pm Eastern on the Soul Sparklettes Art Facebook Page. Can’t make them all? The videos will stay up for you. If you’re a homeschooler, I hope you come to create alongside me. If you’re an art teacher, these projects are great for on a cart or remote. (After all, I’m teaching them that way!)
And these lessons are only a taste of what’s possible inside the Glitterbombers Membership. Glow-in-the-dark jellyfish, hidden poison dart frogs, rocket ships, optical illusions, kawaii bento boxes – and an entire trip around the world with our new Global Art Curriculum. It’s 200+ and growing art projects and resources in your back pocket.
But it’s only open for a few days.
The Glitterbombers Membership doors are open until Monday, January 24, and then will close until August.
I hope to see you inside – where magic happens, and also, an explosion of creativity.
I just heard about your site and I am excited to check it out! I am a 10 year art teacher and I am always looking for things to excite my students and get them interested in art.
Yay! I’m so thrilled you found us! Welcome to our part of the internet! :D
