Art projects that kids actually WANT to do!

Kick the same old boring art projects to the curb.

Here you’ll find what kids love – dragons, what bees do in their free time, windmills that actually move, knight self-portraits with movable helmets, and frost giants whose faces crackle with ice. They’ll learn about contemporary and diverse artists – not just “the masters”. Better yet – our customers say they love learning something new too!

Our art projects and resources are developed by a homeschooler and art teacher team – we know what you’re looking for, because we’re in the trenches too and looking for it ourselves.

It’s one thing to say that kids will love the art projects, it’s another to prove it.

Every single one of our projects is kid-tested and kid-approved, and developed with kid-input. They’re also cross-curricular, standards-rich, teach the elements and principles, full of diversity, creative choice, and expose kids to a wide range of media.

Art Teachers

The last thing you need during your free time is to spend hours hunting Pinterest for lessons that “might” work and come with no instructions.

Instead of “I’m done”, you’ll see students begging to come to art class.

Our projects are core-subject connected, standards aligned, focus on the elements and principles, different media, and we include both the masters and diverse, working artists.

Homeschoolers

“I’m not artsy” doesn’t mean you can’t teach your kids art.

If you haven’t picked up a paintbrush since elementary school, you’re in the right place.

Our projects are step-by-step, full of pictures, and link up to popular curriculum choices like Torchlight, Brave Writer, and Build Your Library.

And yes, we even have videos!

Studio Owners

Focus on your students, on your incredible teaching, and your business with lessons that are designed to work in a wide variety of situations, with different age groups, and with multiple media. You’ll love how you can combine our lessons into various themes to run summer camps or 6-week sessions – however you run your business, you’ll find the perfect lessons here.

Need to teach on Outschool or another platform? We are happy to work with you too!

I’m Julie Soul, the Founder/CEO of Soul Sparklettes Art. As a child, I spent hours drawing in my bedroom. I illustrated the characters, where they lived, what they wore. I never stopped creating.

As soon as I had kids and began to homeschool, I immediately started hosting art-themed play dates that were non-stop festivities of paint and glitter, as well as teaching in the community.

But something was bothering me.

Homeschoolers told me that teaching art felt out of their reach and that they weren’t welcomed in other art teaching communities.

Art teachers told me that they were tired of the same old lessons, they were feeling burnt out and uninspired and not listened to, and they needed someone who could pivot as fast as they needed to. They also needed cross-curricular projects.

So I set out to change all of that, because I had the same problem. I couldn’t find a community where communication and differences were encouraged, and where you could access the art projects you needed, when you needed them.

I also couldn’t find projects that matched what kids loved. I needed dragons, pirates, and aliens as well as taught a robust art curriculum. I also didn’t want just “the Masters”. I wanted to celebrate artists around the world, while we also focused on the elements of art and principles of design.

So after failing to find what I wanted, I created Soul Sparklettes Art and The Glitter Bomb® with a single mission – to inspire and empower anyone who teaches art to kids – 700 a day, or only 1 at the dining table.

I cannot wait to see what you create!

Compassion

People first. Always. We promise to listen, and to give you a place to share your story and unique way that you teach art.

Openness

We believe in being open and transparent with you. We know trust is earned, and we will work 100% to earn yours.

Humor

Laughter is magic – both for kids, and for your own growth and mental health. Our lessons are meant to be fun, so you can have fun too.

Empowerment

We give you the tools and support you need so that you can grow, no matter if you’ll be teaching art for a couple years, or for decades.
